Understand Adobe Firefly Settings

Learn about the various Firefly settings and how to configure them for optimal performance

Let’s dive into the Firefly site and start generating some new artwork! Head over to firefly.adobe.com and log in if you haven’t already. Click on the “Text to image” module, then choose any of the example images to open the tool page.

Hit the “Clear” button at the bottom of the prompt section to reset everything, and don’t forget to delete the text prompt too.

Tip: You won’t use up a generative credit until you click on the “Try Prompt” button

General Settings

Model: Firefly Image 3

Fast mode: OFF

Aspect Ratio: Set it to your artwork’s aspect ratio

Tip: Turning off fast mode helps you avoid wasting extra generative credits on “upscaling” your results.

Content Type

You can manually choose Art or Photo, or turn on Auto to let Firefly decide.

Composition

Click the upload button to add your image file, or just drag and drop it right onto the upload square. Hit “Continue” in the “About uploading images” popup. Then, slide the “Strength” slider all the way to the right to tell Firefly to adhere to your image as much as possible.
